random thoughts

The idea of Blog is powerful. Sometimes it is addictive. It's like smoking or drinking I guess. It's something you have to do/get/access regularly. Otherwise you feel like something is missing. So here I'm, expressing my thoughts.

The other day I heard that there are three kinds of family where 'Christian' kids came from. The first kind (let's call this Group A) is that the parents and the families are devoted Christians and they live their lives as committed and devoted Christians. The second kind (Group B) is that the parents and/or relatives are not Christian at all. The third kind (Group C) is where the parents and/or relatives claim that they are Christians and they go to churches, but their daily lives are no different from non-believers.

It's reported that devoted Christian kids usually came from Group A and Group B. And it's difficult for kids from Group C to become 'good' Christians. Sometimes they (kids from Group C) even hate the idea of the 'Christian' thing too....

I think it's something that worths to think about... Which Group am I coming from? And which Group are you coming from???

I personally hate the idea of treating the belief a 'religion', which I think 'religion' was never the intention of God. God never asks us to believe in Christianity. He asks us to believe in Him. However, I feel that people nowadays emphasize more on the idea of Christianity than on Christ. Seems like they even have their own 'Christianity' language! It's not difficult to hear phrases like "So which church do you go to?", or "Do you serve at church?" going back and forth between two newly met "Christians".

I think there's a difference between "Christ followers" and "Church go-ers". And there's a difference between "Serving God" (which emphasizes on a serving heart) and "Performers at Church"(which requires serving techniques). Not that I'm saying anything against anyone who genuinely serve God at church (by the way, some people do think that church must be inside a physical church building), but I'm just pointing out there's a difference between the two.

ok, time to change topic -- my dinner last night (Fried eggs with tomato):
